The start of a new year and the good times of Christmas fade into memory as the dark and cold of the season remain. Are the good times temporary?
Jesus was welcomed into this world at his birth when he came to be with us on earth, and Jesus welcomes us to live with him by walking in the ways he taught us, of loving God and of loving our neighbours as ourselves. Loving our neighbour includes everyone, and Christmas is a good time to remember people who are lonely or vulnerable, and to make our peace with those we find it difficult to live with. And it’s a time of welcoming people into our lives with celebrations of Jesus’ birth. Enjoy the season: Jesus is the focus of Christmas, he welcomes us all to share this joy with him.
We’re remembering the lives lost in war, through Remembrance Sunday coming up this month.
Harvest Festival comes up in October!
