During Lent we usually don’t use Alleluia’s in our liturgy, as this is a more sombre, penitential season. There’s an interesting tradition that has developed in some places, to hide the Alleluias during Lent. You might like to download this Alleluia colouring sheet, decorate it, and then hide it at home during lent… and then bring it out again on Easter day to celebrate.
In a really challenging season, why not focus on self-care this Lent. Here are 40 self-care ideas to choose from, why not pick one each day and give yourself a boost of positivity.
With Ash Wednesday nearly upon us, the start of Lent is not far behind. As we are unable to meet in the building to remember the start of this important part of the Christian calendar together, you may still wish to ash yourself, during our shared online service with St Thomas and All Saints, Lymington – that will be going out at 6pm on the 17th February.

Sunday the 7th February is the Second Sunday before Lent and for our 10am service it’s St Thomas who taking the lead from the vicarage garden! It’s a mini-retreat of sorts as we look at spiritual growth, with St Mark’s to provide the music, prayers and sermon.

Sunday the 31st January is the fourth Sunday of Epiphany and for our 10am service it’s back to St Mark’s taking the lead with St Thomas’ to provide the music, prayers and sermon.
