Notices for the weekend of the 15th May, with details of our upcoming services and events.
We’ve had a declutter! We’ve confirmed a number of items from St Mark’s that can be removed – and are offering these to a good home, in exchange for a donation.
The Pascal candle is a symbol of Jesus light, here on Earth. George talks on Ascension Day about the meaning of the candle – and how it’s extinguishing means we must carry the light instead. The ascension marks the end of one story – but the start of another: the birth of the Christian church, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Remaining mostly dry, Peter leads from the vicarage garden in Lymington – whilst St Mark’s bring the sermon and prayers. Today, we think about a fundamental truth from Jesus last supper with his followers: friendship is key.
Details of our upcoming services and events at St Mark’s.
We’re leading once more from St Mark’s, where one of our BCM Worship team tie together the hymns, prayer and sermon from our friends at St Thomas. Our focus today is on a Jesus centred community – as Peter gets to task on vines in the vicarage!
Notices for the 1st May – with details of our upcoming services and events. We’ve a change for May – as we trial a move to 10am for our in-building cotemporary services.
Our APCM is coming up in a special service of evening prayer at 6pm on the 9th May. download the APCM report ahead of this from here – and find out what St Mark’s have been up to in the past twelve months!
Our monthly draw club met at the end of April; did your numbers come out?
As part of our APCM (that’s the Annual Parochial Church Meeting, if you didn’t know but were too afraid to ask!), we’ve put together a video version too. Where so much of the past twelve months was turned upside down and went online because of pandemic lockdowns and restrictions, it felt especially right to be able to recollect on what we’ve achieved in the past year.
