Celebrating the Peace at our 10am Service

The PCC agreed at their meeting last Wednesday that we should be able to revert to how we previously celebrated the Peace by being able to shake hands and move around the church. If you wish to stay in your pew and wave as previously then please feel free to continue.

Lymington’s Courts and Alleyways – Local Talk

A look along Lymington High Street to discover the history of the town, find out things you walk by without noticing, and why they are there, and what it was like to live without mod. cons! Come along to enjoy this interesting talk by local historian, Pauline Shirley, on Saturday 13th July at 2.30 lasting about an hour with questions. Tickets: £7.50 to include refreshments.

Coffee Morning

All welcome at St Mark’s on Wednesday 26th June from 10.15am for coffee, cake and chat and our monthly draw club!

Archdeacons’ Visitations

Following our APCM, where Eve Jolly and Teresa Nivison were chosen as churchwardens for the coming year, they will be admitted to office at the Visitation Service being held at Christchurch Priory on Thursday 27th June at 7.30pm. All are welcome to attend.

Study Group Update

The study group are taking a two week break as Jane is on holiday but will resume again on Monday 8th July 2024. They will continue their journey through Revelation until the 29th July and will then take a break in August for the holiday season.

Choralia Milford sing ‘Songs from the Shows’

On Sunday 14th July at 4pm at Baptist Church, New Street Lymington, come along to enjoy West Side Story, Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera and other popular songs with Phil Daish-Handy, conductor, in support of OXFAM.

Pennington Community Hub

The Fareshare Larder continues it’s successful work on Thursday in the Community Hall. But, for the moment we are not meeting afterwards from 2-4pm for refreshments. We are looking into alternative ideas for continuing this outreach work to strengthen the work in our community

Ecochurch Recycling

  • Milk Bottle tops: we are now collecting these as Stewarts Garden Centre are turning these into garden furniture!
  • Ground coffee/coffee bean packets: a notice at the back of church shows which bags are now being collected. Please support our effort to reduce waste.

Daily Prayer

With St Thomas in Lymington, we continue to ‘pray for our nation, for its leaders, its health and essential services and all those who suffer’ this week at 9am on Zoom. Led by members of St Mark’s and St Thomas congregations, this now runs Monday through Friday.

Daily prayer is also taking place in St Thomas church from 9am on Saturdays

Coming together, we offer daily prayer for the situation in Ukraine.
