Sunday the 14th February is Valentines Day, so we hope you’ve given your significant other (or the one you would like to be your significant other!) a gift! It’s also the First Sunday before Lent and for our 10am service it’s St Mark’s who are taking the lead with a focus on study, over to St Thomas to provide the music and prayers – and today Linda Lee, Lymington hospital chaplain brings the sermon.
With Ash Wednesday nearly upon us, the start of Lent is not far behind. As we are unable to meet in the building to remember the start of this important part of the Christian calendar together, you may still wish to ash yourself, during our shared online service with St Thomas and All Saints, Lymington – that will be going out at 6pm on the 17th February.
Sunday the 7th February is the Second Sunday before Lent and for our 10am service it’s St Thomas who taking the lead from the vicarage garden! It’s a mini-retreat of sorts as we look at spiritual growth, with St Mark’s to provide the music, prayers and sermon.
Sunday the 31st January is the fourth Sunday of Epiphany and for our 10am service it’s back to St Mark’s taking the lead with St Thomas’ to provide the music, prayers and sermon.
Sunday the 24th January is the third Sunday of Epiphany and for our 10am service it’s St Thomas’ taking the lead with St Mark’s to provide the music, prayers …but not the sermon! We welcome Fr Simon Robinson, vicar of Minehead – who talks further about forgiveness. Especially apt – as we look forward to Holocaust Memorial Day, coming up on the 27th January.
Sunday the 17th January is the second Sunday of Epiphany and for our 10am service it’s back to St Mark’s taking the lead with St Thomas’ to provide the music, prayers and sermon. Paul and Sandy, two of the worship team at St Mark’s who support Rachel with leading in Pennington take the helm today: stick around to the very end however, as perhaps Paul and Sandy aren’t as professional as Rachel (who doesn’t like a blooper or two?)
We’re getting our 10am online service ready for Sunday – where this week Sandy and Paul (who took part in the BCM Worship stream a few years ago) will lead the service. Here are some of the parts that are going to hit the cutting room floor!
Sunday the 10rth January is the first Sunday of Epiphany but also when we remember the baptism of Christ. For our 10am service today it’s St Thomas’ taking the lead as St Mark’s provide the music, prayers and sermon. Are we missing a Rachel? After a busy December and Christmas period, Rachel’s got this week off: so Jane and Paul bring you the sermon slot instead!
Sunday the 3rd January is the Second Sunday of Christmas but also the Epiphany. For our 10am service today it’s St Mark’s taking the lead as St Thomas provide the music, prayers and sermon.
Sunday the 27th December is the the first Sunday of Christmas – and for our 10am service today it’s St Thomas taking the lead as St Mark’s provide the music, prayers with Linda Lee – chaplain at Lymington New Forest hospital – leading our sermon.
