The APCM – or Annual Parochial Church Meeting – as with many events in our church calendar was disrupted this year, as the Covid-19 pandemic struck the world. However, now that we’re able to open our doors once more, this event – postponed from the spring – is coming up on the 12th October.
Our director of music, Leigh Jerwood, is also part of an a capella group, named ‘Straight Bananas’. We’ve enjoyed their music at St Mark’s before, and to welcome us back to in building services on the 20th September, they performed a couple of numbers for us too.
Normally, we run the draw on the fourth Wednesday coffee morning of the month; alas, with St Mark’s currently closed due to the Coronavirus lockdown, this was done on our 4th Wednesday Zoom coffee morning of the month instead.
Sunday the 20th September is the Fifteenth Sunday after Trinity – and for our 10am service today St Thomas lead with our sermon coming from Catherine, the Dean of Winchester Cathedral.

Sunday the 13th September is the Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity – and as Rachel Noël, priest of St Mark’s, takes some time in retreat, Peter leads from Lymington instead. This service shares the beautiful New Zealand prayer book which wonderfully reinforces Jesus’ teaching on a life of forgiveness and generosity.
