Children’s Society collection boxes

Dorothy Davies is looking after the collection boxes for the Children’s Society, for which many of us keep at home to add loose change to through the year. Coming up soon we will be celebrating the work of this important charity, collecting the donations we’ve made together to pass along.

Please can you endeavour to bring your collection box back into church for Dorothy, before the end of July.

Senior lunch club from St Thomas

Our friends at St Thomas in Lymington have shared with us a notice; their weekly lunches for seniors have begun again and there is space if any members of St Mark’s wanted to come along! All seniors are welcome to join the weekly Monday Lunches from 12:30 in St Thomas’ Church Hall: a delicious two course meal at the cost of £5. Bearing in mind the risks from the Covid-19 pandemic, be assured that the St Thomas hall is well ventilated: however please arrive wearing a mask, until seated.

Although booking is not necessary, to help confirm numbers any interested in attending are asked to confirm by the previous Friday with Mikki – on 07776 122724.

Flowers in church

You’ve probably noticed that in the last few weeks, we’ve brought flowers back into church. If you would like to be part of the team that arranges flowers – all are welcome to be part of this group, whether you’ve been involved before or not. Please get in touch directly with Christine Kellow Webb – christine.kw@uwclub.net 01590-670413

New Life Church Event

New Life Church in New Milton are thrilled to be having Barry Woodward with them on Friday the 30th of July at 7pm. A great opportunity to bring those who do not yet know Jesus to hear an amazing testimony from a brilliant communicator and evangelist.

Barry Woodward grew up in Salford, Greater Manchester. At 16, he left school with no qualifications and became drawn into the Manchester music and drugs scene. This led to a life of heroin addiction and drug dealing. After being dependent on heroin for 15 years and spending a number of terms in prison, Barry had what he described as a “religious experience”, which resulted in his life being totally transformed.
