Churchyard Maintenance
Next meeting is on Thursday 10th October at 10am. More volunteers from church /community are needed: please speak to Ingrid or Eve about our meetings and joining in (even occasionally) our meetings, normally on the 1st Thursday of the month, if you are interested in keeping the churchyard looking tidy! The Probation Service did a great job last Thursday in strimming the grass.
Wessex Internet is bringing full fibre broadband to Pennington!
Wessex Internet is hosting a community event presentation and Q&A session to discuss their plans for bringing full fibre to Pennington and the surrounding areas. This is your chance to learn about the benefits of full fibre broadband and how it can improve your internet experience.
Date: Friday 18th October
Time: 6-8pm
Location: St Mark’s Community Hall
What is full fibre broadband?
Full fibre broadband is the fastest and most reliable type of internet connection available. It uses fibre optic cables to deliver speeds of up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps). This means you can download a movie in seconds, stream 4K video without buffering, and enjoy lag-free gaming.
What are the benefits of full fibre broadband?
- Faster speeds
- More reliable connection
- Improved online gaming experience
- Better streaming quality
- Increased productivity
Learn more at the community event!
This is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about Wessex Internet’s plans for our community. Please come along and hear what this means for you.

Study Group in autumn

Harvest lunch
We hope to host a simple salads and cold meat harvest lunch for midday on Sunday 6th October, at the Pennington Community Hall! Calling all volunteers who may be able to help and a confirmation of numbers who may want to attend. Forms for both to be available in church.
Licencing as LLM for Jane Nicholson
It is with great sadness that we report the death of Jane Nicholson, who had prepared for licencing as a lay minister so diligently with plans ahead towards ordination. Please hold Jane’s family in your heart as they grieve her passing.
Culture in Common Sunday Drama
Keep this date in your diary: Sunday 3rd November 7pm when our next play will be ‘Dracula: the Vampyr’ a solo performance by David Mynne who performed a wonderful ‘A Christmas Carol’ for us last year. Tickets will be available soon from church or online.
Pennington Community Hub
The Community Hub continues it’s successful work on Thursday in the Community Hall from 12pm to 2pm.
Ecochurch Recycling
