If you want to get involved, have a look at any of the attached patterns – there will be collection bags in One Stop, St Mark’s Church, and other local spots.

Monday study group

Our Monday study group is still meeting and we are about to embark on a new course from 13th September!

Are you interested in exploring your faith journey further outside of the Church services? Perhaps you would like to know more about some of the things we include in the service as standard?

If so may we invite you to join our study group on Monday 13th September 2021, from 10.30am to 12 noon on Zoom (details below).

This is a 6 week Pilgrim Course looking at The Creeds in more detail. All are welcome and our sessions will be lead by Jane who is passionate about exploring faith and leading those discussions and wonderings that are not always possible in a service setting.

If you would like to join us, please email ‘takepart@penningtonchurch.uk‘ and we will be happy to welcome you.

(Still) Calling from the Edge

(Still) Calling from the Edge is the 10th annual conference on Disability & Church. It’s a partnership between St Martin in the Fields and Inclusive Church, hosted online by HeartEdge.

In this year’s conference we explore call as challenge, lament and vocation. Through art, music, story and theology, in plenary talks, small groups, workshops and liturgy. It’s a cry for justice that marks a milestone: 10 years of calling from the edge.

”Disabled people have a distinct prophetic ministry to the church. In order for the church to fulfil its prophetic ministry to society, it needs disabled people.”
John Hull (Opening the Roof, 2012)

Details & Registration: (Still) Calling from the Edge (EventBrite)

Pre-conference workshops

  • Art: Called to the Feast – Friday 10 September 4.30pm  will help create an exhibition of images and words for an inclusive Last Supper. These can be in any media (drawing, paintings, photographs, poetry, prose etc etc) and can focus on any aspect of the Last Supper i.e. the feast, the table, the guests, Jesus etc. The images and words shared will then be shown in an online exhibition during the conference

Our thanks to all who attended our summer fair on Saturday 28th August; it was so wonderful to welcome all who attended and helped to make the morning a success!

Your generosity helps the work we done: this event raised £746.30 towards our church funds.
