It’s easy to take for granted that the annual crops will provide our food over the winter, particularly now that few of us are directly involved in farming the land. We are indeed blessed in having frozen and tinned food as a backup. So, when we pray for our land and for a good harvest, how seriously do we consider the full implications of this – on the farmers themselves, on our neighbours, and indeed ourselves?
