We pray at this time for all who are affected in any way through the current Coronavirus pandemic. For our friends and neighbours in Pennington who through poverty find feeding their families hard in normal times, let alone the situation we now find ourselves in through individuals panic buying. We pray for our emergency services, as they help the sick, the worried, the grieving.

As you may know, St Mark’s has an active Facebook community, where we share details of what we’re up to in Pennington, along with a wide range of posts, videos and pictures – search Facebook for us by ‘StMarksChurchPennington’. Did you know that Facebook offers you the ability to share a birthday fundraiser – inviting your own friends and followers on Facebook to donate to a chosen cause? Perhaps you might like to consider us as your own birthday comes around!
Giving Update…
Through 2019, St Mark’s did a lot. To name but a few, we…List
- Hosted over 150 services
- helped with the planning and running of a Christmas and Summer village event
- Supported local children through Messy Church afternoons and meals
- hosted eleven Friendship lunches
- produced twelve monthly magazines to act as a voice for the community
- welcomed creative crafters each month at our craft group
- lead weekly school assemblies
- extended a reach to hundreds of people outside of our traditional community, through sharing our sermons on social media.
St Mark’s is entirely funded through grants, donations, regular giving made by our congregation and visitors and it’s thanks to your support that we can achieve all we do. However, although through grants, donations, regular giving, sales of goods (such as Traidcraft, and our magazine) we raised £73,111, the costs for maintenance of our church buildings and grounds, heating, utility bills, insurance, salaries, fees and general administration cost £84,293.
We hope to continue to spread a Christian message through our community and appreciate your support – it’s only through your gifts that we can make a difference.
